French Canadian Hot Dogs

INGREDIENTS/

  • cabbage, vinegar, salt, pepper, olive oil
  • onions, tomatoes, cheese, mustard, mayonaise
  • hot dog buns, butter
  • sausages that your fancy

Coleslaw
wash and dice the cabbage into mini mini pieces.

add 1tsp of sea salt, 2 tsp of pepper, 1.5tsp white vinegar, 3tsp olive oil and mix well. place in the fridge and prepare the rest.

slice the tomatoes, cheese, onions/shallots.

3 key things make this a quebecois hot-dog vs a regular hotdog; 1) butterflied hotdogs sausages and fried on both sides flattened with a cast iron weight or just the spatula and pressure on a flatgrill or frying pan. 2) flatted, pan fried buns. 3) and the montreal style vinegrette coleslaw
