Homemade French Fries

Homemade french fries are a great snack.

INGREDIENTS/

  • 3 potatoes
  • 1L canola oil/vegetable oil

PREP
Wash the potatoes with water rubbingĀ all the dirt on the skins. You can leave the skin, or peel and slice them into theĀ thickness you desire. Make sure you maintain the same size throughout all your fries so cooking them is even.

Fill a large pot with 50% canola/vegetable oil. Heat on low/medium heat until the oil finishes bubbling, about 10 minutes.

Slowly place the potatoes until they are all covered in oil. watch them brown, depending on how thick will affect the time. I cooked them for around 8 minutes. Also, the heat of the oil will affect the crispyness of the fries. Hotter oil, less time, more crispy. Lower flames, longer cook times, softer fries.
